UNCSW

United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UNCSW)

Agenda - Bridging the digital gender divide: Ensuring equal access to technology, skills and online safety for women and girls.

Despite technological advancement, women and girls continue to face unequal access to digital tools, internet connectivity and technological education. Barriers such as affordability, cultural norms, safety concerns and lack of digital literacy limit their participation in the digital economy. UNCSW will focus on strategies to close the digital gender gap by promoting inclusive policies, digital skill development and safer online spaces, enabling women and girls to fully benefit from technological progress and contribute to sustainable development.
